Student Leadership
The year is coming to a close (can you believe it?), and it is time to assemble a new student board for Hillel. I encourage you and your friends to consider a future as a student leader in Hillel of WWU. Opportunities in these positions range from meeting new people to deepening your sense of Jewish identity. Additionally, student leaders are often invited to partake in leadership conferences around the region, country, and world. As a graduate student who has been involved as a leader in Hillel for a few years now, I can personally testify that I have learned skills unique to my experiences in the organization. If you care about Hillel of WWU and enjoy attending the events, consider this opportunity. Remember, leadership can be big or small; formal or informal. Whatever your contribution, there is a place on the board for you.
Interested? Please email: hillelwwu@gmail.com or anna.talvi@gmail.com if you would like to correspond with me directly.
Shalom,
Anna

Matzo!
Need a kosher meal this Tuesday? Stop by Hillel where we will be making matzo from scratch and serving a meal that is delicious and entirely kosher for Passover. Give the salad bar in the dining halls a rest and join us for some home-cooked meal.
Thank you to all who helped with our Seder on Thursday night. It was a great success thanks to all of you!

JEWS NIGHT OUT!!!!
For any Jew at Western that is interested, Hillel will be giving an all expenses paid trip downtown to go bowling and chill at the Cobra Lounge. Everyone must be 18+ (I'm assuming everyone at Western meets that). Meet us at the Shalom Center for some food at 7:30, then we will leave via bus to the Bowling alley, we will play a few frames and then roll on over to the Cobra Lounge, Bellingham's only hookah bar...Did I mention its free....(Bring your WWU Bus Pass to cut out bus travel fees)...All you need to bring is yourself, and a pair of socks...unless you want to have to buy those awfully sexy socks at the bowling alley. If you can't meet at the Shalom Center @ 8:00 then just call Max Stahlberg (360-303-2914) and he will let you know how to get to wherever the group may be...
